The Wild Hunt Event - October 3rd-5th
Good Gentles of Artemisia, the rising of the Hunter’s Moon in October is said to usher in the Wild Hunt.
As this can be a frightening time for many, The Shire of Stonegate would like to invite all to the safety and comfort of our shire during this time. To keep us entertained, we have selected a venue to rival all others: come celebrate this time of year in a historic recreation of a fort and village from the days of westward expansion. The veil is thin and the Wild Hunt roams the land…join the Shire of Stonegate for a celebration in honor of our ancestors and Scadians who have passed through the veil. We will have tournaments and games, as well as classes and other activities, including a Black Smithing class in a historically-recreated blacksmith shoppe. We will have a historic open-hearth kitchen on site as well.
Camping is available for those traveling great distances to spend time with us.
